The Classic Teardrop Earrings
Simple but timeless teardrop earrings made from two strands of narrow Tana Lawn fabric covered cord and finished with silver plated findings. Each pair is light enough to be able to wear all day but still makes an impact. These are available as either pierced or clip-ons.
There is a choice of three prints in this collection;
- Libby - a classsic delicate Liberty floral design created in the 1930's. This small scale print features clusters of handpainted flowers in shades of golden yellow, lilac, white and cobalt blue, and fresh apple green leaves on a black background.
- Gloria Lomo - a modern imagining of a bold 30's floral, with bright flowers in golden yellow, scarlet, cobalt blue and damson with emerald green leaves on a black background. A larger scale with more simplified flowers but still embodying the vintage feel.
- California Bloom - loosely drawn, brightly coloured flowers litter the surface of this 1970's design that wouldn't be out of place on a 1930's tea dress. The bubblegum pink background clashes in the best way with the painted flowers, in shades of scarlet, mustard yellow, turquoise, orange, white and burgundy with apple green foliage.
The little hoops are constructed of two individual pieces of hand-covered cord and are around 2.5cm long. The total length from the top curve of the fish hook to the bottom of the teardrop is 5.5cm. The cord section measures just under 2cm across at the widest part. The silver end caps are 7mm diameter.
The piece will be delivered in a hand stamped natural brown gift box perfect for giving as a present. Gift wrap with a hand written card is also available at checkout for a small additional cost if you want to send direct to the recipient.
Teardrop Earrings - Deco Florals
All metal parts may in the long term become tarnished. This can avoided by keeping your jewellery in it's original box or in another container where it is not exposed to the air and potential humid or damp conditions.
If it does get wet for any reason make sure to dry it off as soon as possible and avoid it coming into contact with perfumes, body sprays etc.Any tarnishing can be treated with a silver polishing cloth or oher jewellery cleanign cloth. Thsi is better done little and often to prevent build-up.
The fabric sections are 100% cotton so they can, in case of staining, be spot cleaned with warm water and soap, being careful not to get the metal parts wet. Make sure it is rinsed and dried thoroughly afterwards. You can reset the shape by manipulating the cord and setting it with a warm iron and steam.
